Project context

Visual Journal is a personal image website designed around photographic recording and viewing. Photographs of streets, exhibitions and everyday life form a looping wall that fills the screen. Continuous arrangements and different column speeds create a browsing rhythm. Users can scroll, drag or use touch to move freely between images and find a scene that interests them.

Selecting a photograph expands it from its original position; closing it returns it to the same place in the wall, preserving viewing continuity. The interface keeps attention on the photographs, reducing text and controls, with support for desktop and mobile browsing.

The website is an ongoing personal image record, growing through daily photography and organisation while accumulating observations of people, spaces and environments.
